My name is Peter Boscas and I am a residential real estate agent in both Maryland and Washington, DC. I have been passionately involved in real estate for nearly a decade. I began buying and renovating homes in mid-state Pennsylvania in 2001 and have been hooked ever since. I have learned during these years that real estate, though sometimes challenging, can also be incredibly rewarding and fun. I enjoy working with new buyers and get a great deal of satisfaction seeing the enjoyment my clients have when they move into their new homes.
I began my career in real estate in 2002. At that time I renovated several homes throughout the Baltimore and mid-state Pennsylvania region. Ranging from minor touch-ups to full scale renovations, I experienced both the pleasure and pain of coordinating all types of construction and renovations. While coordinating these projects I discovered that many real estate agents, lenders and other real estate professionals lacked the dedication, attentiveness and communication skills needed to fully assist their clients.
After a few particularly appalling incidents in which supposed real estate professionals had delayed or hindered the purchase process, I wanted to make a change. I took the experiences I had gained during my renovation projects, both good and bad, and began applying them as a real estate agent. My ambition was to provide thorough service while also being attentive to the needs and desires of my clients.
Currently I work for a full service real estate company called Tenacity Group. We are a small company that has been in business since 1992 providing all manner of real estate services to local buyers. Tenacity Group is well known, primarily in DC and the surrounding areas, as a quality developer offering exceptional, modern condominium developments at affordable prices.
As a sales manager with Tenacity, I specialize in marketing and sales of the company's residential offerings. My most recent project is Takoma Overlook, a 240+ unit high rise condominium building in Takoma Park, Maryland. We are currently selling the Erie Avenue project as well, also in Takoma Park, Maryland. This project features two charming, English-style buildings which are being renovated to modern standards while maintaining their turn of the century charm. As a full time agent, I spend a great deal of my time attending real estate seminars and courses to be sure I am able to competently service my clients in a changing market. In 2005 I actually began teaching continuing education and licensing courses to other real estate professionals. I use the knowledge and experience I obtained both through attending and teaching these courses to keep my clients informed during the home buying process.
Recently I've completed my largest project to date - my own home. In October of 2006 I purchased a dilapidated 1928 bungalow in a quaint section of Baltimore known as Beverly Hills. Since that time I have designed, gutted and fully renovated the house. During this lengthy and extensive renovation I focused on implementing energy-efficient technologies such as tankless water heaters and a home automation system.
